STAFF REPORT
Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, 9:51 a.m. — A Harrodsburg man was arrested early Sunday morning after he attempted to flee from police during a traffic stop.
According to police, when Bardstown Police Officer Kyler Wright attempted to stop a tan GMC Sierra pickup truck, on Bloomfield Road the vehicle turned onto Susannah and then Haley Court before stopping at the end of the cul-de-sac. The driver, Ronnie L. Sexton, 38, of Harrodsburg got out of the truck and ran behind residences in the subdivision.
But Sexton ran into a picnic table and fell. He refused to cooperate with police and was tasered. Police found a small amount of marijuana on Sexton, who told police he ran because he has four outstanding warrants for his arrest.
Sexton was arrested and charged with fleeing or evading, second-degree; careless driving; resisting arrest; failure to wear a seat belt; and possession of marijuana. He was lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
