TERESA JO THOMPSON

Teresa Jo Thompson, 43, of New Hope, died Sunday, November 18, 2012 due to an auto accident near New Hope. She was born July 16, 1969, in Dwight, Ill. She was an employee of the Loretto Motherhouse and a volunteer for the New Hope Food Bank and Community Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin L. Wilkerson and Rosie Lee Bush Campbell.

Survivors include her daughter, Courtney Cecil of New Hope; her special friend, Allen Mattingly of New Hope; two sisters, Lesa Leasor and her husband Jim, both of Elizabethtown, and Vicki Graham and her husband Popeye, both of Hodgenville;
one brother, David Wilkerson and his wife Shirley, both of New Hope; two half-brothers, Phillip Wilkerson and his wife Tessa, both of Buffalo, and Johnny Campbell of Toledo, Ill.; her stepfather, John Campbell of Georgia; her stepgrandmother, Lottie Bush of Hodgenville; other extended family members include Carmel and Bernard Cecil of New Hope, Joanie Shoffner of New Haven, Francie and Chuck Cecil of Loretto, Sandy and Gary Riley of New Haven, Wendy, Mike, Jill, Jeremy, Wyatt, Kade, Olivia, Waylon and Trenton.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in New Hope with the Rev. Ken Fortener officiating followed by cremation.

Visitation is 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 6 p.m. presided by the Sisters of Loretto.

Pallbearers are Chuck Cecil, Wyatt Cecil, Gary Riley, Jeremy Kyle, Mike Hall, Brent Mattingly and Kade Cecil.

Honorary pallbearers are Chuck Thompson, Mark Thompson, Bob Williamson, Jr., Bob Williamson, Sr., R.J. Mattingly and Scott Davis.
