Eugene Foley ‘H’ Broaddus, 70, Bloomfield

Eugene Foley “H” Broaddus, 70, of Bloomfield, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. He was a member of the Bloomfield Baptist Church and a member of Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He was a lifetime farmer, an avid lover of Thoroughbred horses, and co-owner of Broadfield Racing Stable.

He was preceded in death by his parents/ Cron Jones and Mary Ruth Foley Broaddus, and his father-in-law Cleo Morris.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Paula Morris Broaddus; one son, Chad Craigwood Broaddus, whom he loved more than life itself; and his second mother Helen Morris; three brothers, William “Bill” Broaddus and his wife Linda, Cron Broaddus and his wife Sharlene, and Terry Broaddus and his wife Brenda, all of Bloomfield; a special nephew, T.K. Broaddus, whom he loved like a second son; and many dear friends.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with burial in Highview Cemetery in Chaplin with Bro. Leland Parks and Bro. Earl Pike officiating.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at the funeral home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Bloomfield Baptist Church or Gideons Intertional.

Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
