BETTY LAINE WALLACE

Betty Laine Wallace, 79, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at her home. She was born Oct. 28, 1933, in Nelson County and was a lifelong homemaker. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her father, Selby “Shab” Roby and her mother, Mayme Belle Hahn Perry; and two grandchildren, Wendy J. Griffith and Wally L. Griffith.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Bob Wallace; two sons, Bobby Wallace and his wife Brenda, both of Bardstown and Billy Wallace and his wife Kim, both of Shepherdsville; three daughters, Beth Griffith and her husband Walter, both of Louisville, Bina Wallace of Bardstown, and Becky Hopkins of Sarasota, Fla.; one brother, Jimmy Roby and his wife, Jane, both of Bardstown; five grandchildren, Bridget Davis, Bo Wallace, Nicole Wallace, Nicholas Wallace and Casey Hopkins; and three great-grandchildren, Aiden Davis, Samuel Hamilton and Kingston Davis.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home with burial in the Bardstown Cemetery. The Rev. Joe Graffis will officiate.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Nelson County or the Crusade for Children.
