MILDRED E. WILLHIDE

Mildred E. Willhide, 91, formerly of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at her residence in Shepherdsville. She was born July 29, 1921, in Cedar Creek and attended business school in Columbus, Ind. She was a homemaker, a former restaurant cook and a member of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed crafting and crocheting and was thought of as the best mother in the world by her family.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Homer Dean Hale; her second husband, James Arthur Willhide; and her parents, Bernard Lee and Theresa Jane Dones Ritchie.

Survivors include two sons, Ronnie (Wanda) Jaggers and his wife Wanda, both of Columbus, Ind., and Floyd (Diana) Jaggers and his wife Diana, both of McPherson; four daughters, Ellen Clayton and her husband Stanley, both of Bardstown, Sabrina Embry and her husband James, both of Shepherdsville, Joy Miller and Judy Grant, both of Louisville; one brother, Vernie Ritchie of Tennessee; one sister, Norma Judson of Nazareth; 14 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren;
and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home with cremation to follow. The Rev. Jim Bratcher will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery in Evansville, Ind.

Visitation is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home.
