Two teenage girls injured in single-car crash on Woodlawn Road

Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, 9 p.m. — Two teenagers suffered minor injuries Saturday evening when their car left Woodlawn Road near Early Times subdivision and crashed down a 30-foot embankment. Police, EMS and the Bardstown Fire Department responded to the crash, which was reported at about 7:08 p.m. The driver of the 1995 Pontiac was a 17-year-old female who suffered chest abrasions from the seat belt and reported left leg pain. Her passenger, a 15-year-old female, suffered lacerations on the right side of her head. Both teens were taken by EMS to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment. The driver was reportedly wearing a seat belt.
