Linda June Rust Schardein, 63, Louisville

Linda June Rust Schardein, 63, Louisville, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Regiswoods Health Care in Louisville. She was born Jan. 8, 1949, the daughter of the late James E. “Elmo” Rust, Jr., and Eva June Montgomery Rust Adams and stepmother Betty Brown Rust. She was a member of the Baptist faith. She was a graduate of the University of Louisville. She was a retired respiratory therapist with 20 years of service at Audubon Hospital.

Survivors include one daughter, Robin L. Waterbury of Louisville; one brother, James E. “Rusty” Rust III, of Louisville; her stepfather, James “Jim” Adams of Jeffersonville, Ind.; three sisters, Betty Thewes, Carol Doyle and her husband Rod, and Donna Kipp and her husband John, all of Louisville; three grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral is 12 noon Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Rd., Louisville, with her brother, Rusty Rustt and family officiating. Burial is in St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church cemetery in New Haven.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, and 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at the funeral home.
