Bardstown woman injured after being struck by car on W. Stephen Foster
Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, 1 p.m. — A Bardstown woman was injured Monday evening about 6:17 when she stepped in front of a 1997 Buick LeSabre and was struck on West Stephen Foster Avenue near Center Street.
Baby Baby, 51, was struck by the car operated by Betty Jackson, 65, of Cox’s Creek. The impact flipped the victim over the car and she landed in the street. She was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital by Nelson County EMS and later taken to University Hospital in Louisville.
A witness said the woman walked out in front of the car. A police press release indicated alcohol may have been a factor. Baby Baby was believed to be intoxicated at the time of the accident, and failed a preliminary breath test at the scene.
Bardstown Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them at (502) 348-6811.
