Mary Sybil ‘Momma Mary’ Blair, 86, Lebanon

Mary Sybil “Momma Mary” Blair, 86, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at her home. She was born Oct. 16, 1926, in Holy Cross and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Liguori Sims Hutchins; three sisters, Mauritia Ballard, Mary Grace Mattingly and Mary Ann Gardner; five brothers, Leon, Gerald, Teenie, Harold and Marvin Hutchins; and one great-grandson, Samuel Anthony Crane.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Marion Blair; four daughters, Phyllis Crane and her husband Bob, both of Lawrenceburg, Patsy Blandford and her husband Marty, Terri Knopp and her husband Mike, and Margaret Wolfe and her husband Rob, all of Lebanon; four sons, Kenny Blair and his wife Ruth Ann, Benny Blair and his wife Mary Anne, Rusty Blair and his wife Dana, all of Lebanon and Philip Blair and his wife Raylene of Crestwood; five sisters, Mary Catherine Willett and her husband Sam, Christine Lanham and her husband Robert, and Barbara Southerland, all of Loretto, Linda Mills and her husband J.W. of Mount Washington, and Lorene Miles and her husband Louie, both of Louisville; two brothers, Howard Hutchins and his wife Sarah, both of Loretto, and Herbert Hutchins and his wife Sarah, both of Louisville; 24 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Lebanon with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Christoper Rhodes will be the celebrant.

Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Wednesday at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m.. Deacon Joseph R. Dant will preside.

Pallbearers are Andrew Spalding, B.J. Crane, Philip Crane, Mikie Knopp, Brian Knopp and Stacey Benningfield.

Honorary Pallbearers are Adam Blair, Ashley Blair, Brandon Blair, Bentley Blair, Joe Vincent Blair, Benji Cecil and Justin Blair.

Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
