Christmas plays set for tonight at First Cedar Creek Baptist Church

Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 — The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church will present two plays at 7 p.m. today,  Sunday, December 23, 2012.

Girls on the Go, a group of eight to 15 years olds, will present “The Birthday Party”.  The second play, “Just like the Ones I Used to Know”, was written by Terrie Todd and produced by special arrangement with Eldridge Publishing Co. A Christmas play of some sort has been presented at TFCCBC for more than 70 years.

Following the plays, the traditional treat of an apple, an orange, and a candy cane in a small brown paper bag will be given, as long as the supply lasts, to all who attend. Presenting the treats will be Sunday School co-directors, Kristen and Sam O’Bryan and records secretary, Marie Nalley.

A candlelight worship service will be held at 11 p.m. Christmas Eve as we remember and celebrate the birth of Jesus, our Savior and Lord.

Everyone is invited to attend all activities and worship services of the church. Bible study begins at 9:45am each Sunday for babies through senior adults.

The First Cedar Creek Baptist Church is located five miles west of Bardstown off Highway 62 (Boston Road) on Highway 733 (Bellwood Road).
