Firefighters respond to report of grass fire along BG Parkway

Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, 1 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called Saturday about 1:53 p.m. to the 14 mile marker eastbound lanes of the Blue Grass Parkway for a report of a small grass fire called in by a passerby. Firefighters responded from their location at the site of a vehicle crash about a mile away. The fire had been extinguished by a passerby when firefighters arrived on scene. Firefighters were on scene about 10 minutes.
