Firefighters called to Stonehouse Road for reported kitchen fire

Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, 1:40 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded Thursday about 5:45 p.m. to a home in the 1600 block of Stonehouse Road for a kitchen fire caused by food on the stove. The fire was out when firefighters arrived. Firefighters removed part of the vent hood system to confirm the fire had not spread into the system. Firefighters were on scene for about 20 minutes.
