Burnt popcorn triggers fire alarm at Bardstown High School

fireshieldFriday, Dec. 28, 2012, 1:45 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded Friday about 1:30 to Bardstown High School, 400 North Fifth St., for an active fire alarm called in by the alarm company. The alarm company reported the school told them the activation was caused by burnt popcorn in the school. When firefighters arrived, they found doors open to ventilate the building. Firefighters were on scene for a short time before returning to the fire station.
