KATHERINE WHITE KEELING

Katherine White Keeling, 88, of Bardstown, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at her daughter’s residence. She was born Dec. 17, 1924, in Bloomfield and worked beside her husband as the owners of Keeling’s Grocery for 40 years. She was a member of the First Cedar Creek Baptist Church, the Women’s Missionary Society and was a former Sunday school teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Leland Cowell Keeling; one son, Larry C. Keeling; her parents, Cecil Elbert and Minnie Meritt Hahn White; and two brothers, infant C. W. White and J.T. White.

Survivors include three sons, Eddie (Sue) Keeling and his wife Sue, both of Jacksonville, Fla., Leslie (Valerie) Keeling and his wife Valerie, both of Bardstown, and Donald (Krista) Keeling and his wife Krista, both of Centerburg, Ohio; two daughters, Pam Talbott, and Susan Hill and her husband Ernie, all both of Bardstown; one brother, Wilbert White of Bardstown; two sisters, Lucille Keeling of Bardstown and Joyce Goff of Chaplin; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at the First Cedar Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Tim Lucas will officiate.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home and 9-11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at the First Cedar Creek Baptist Church.
