Carmel Lee Keith, 80, of Corydon, Ind.

Carmel Lee Keith, 80, of Corydon, Ind., formerly of New Haven, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Ind. He was a mem e of the Lakeshore Worship Center in Elizabethtown. He was a Marine veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired from Southern Forwarding and Liquid Transport. After retiring from trucking, he and his sons started K&S Logging for many years in the New Haven area. He was a log buyer for Zak, Ltd., in New Haven and John Gunn Stave in Lebanon. He was born Feb. 29, 1932, in Mango, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carmel William Keith and Hazel Phillips Keith; and a grandson, Chase Remington Keith.

Survivors include is wife of 56 years, Rosalie F. Fraze Keith of Milltown, Ind.; three sons, Carmel Lee Keith II and his wife Beverly, both of New Haven, James “Jimmy” Keith and his wife Sherry, both of Elizabethtown, and Danny Keith and his wife Brenda, both of Boston; three daughters, Carmella Keith of Jasper, Ind., Rita Foster and her husband Mike, both of Elizabethtown, and Kerrie Parr and her husband Alberth, both of New Haven; two brothers, Nate Keith and his wife Ruthie, both of Concordia, and Calvin Keith of Wolf Creek; two sisters, Betty Ory and her husband Julian, both of Wolf Creek, and Ida Mae Singleton and her husband Ron, both of Paynesville; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral is 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Lakeshore Worship Center, 1801 Ring Road, Elizabethtown, with the Rev. Jody Hendricks officiating. Burial is in the Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery in Radlcliff.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at the William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 N. Main St., New Haven, and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at the church with full military honors.

Pallbearers are grandsons Levi Keith, Carmel Lee Keith III, Daniel Keith, Damon Parr, Dylan Parr, Will Mitchell and Brian Mitchell.

The William R. Rust Funeral Home, 167 N. Main St., New Haven, is in charge of arrangements.
