One person dead in single-vehicle crash on Louisville Road

Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, 2:50 p.m. —  Police, Nelson County EMS and the Bardstown Fire Department were called Wednesday afternoon to 4825 Louisville Road for a fatal crash involving a Cadillac Escalade that reportedly struck a tree. First-responders were called out at 12:50 p.m. to the crash, which happened near the intersection of US31E and Old Towne Drive. The driver was reported trapped inside the vehicle and bystanders said the vehicle was smoking. Once first-responders arrived on scene they determined the driver was deceased and requested the county coroner.
