Harold D. Hagan, 67, Bardstown
Harold D. Hagan, 67 of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born July 5, 1945, in Washington County. He retired from General Electric after 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Catholic Church and enjoyed spending time and very proud of his grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Morse Hagan.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Hagan of Louisville; his mother, Mary Catherine Hagan of Louisville; one son, James David Hagan of Louisville; one daughter, Mary JoAnn Cox of Shepherdsville; one brother, Jimmy Joe Hagan of Florida; and three grandchildren; Joseph Mitchell Powell, Matthew Benjamin Powell and Jarod Wayne Powell.
The funeral is 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at St. Gregory Catholic Church, with burial in Highland Memorial Gardens in Mount Washington. The Rev. Paul Eve will officiate.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, and 8-9:15 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Barlow Funeral Home. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Memorial contributions may go to the American Heart Association and Alzheimer’s Association.
