CORABELLE ‘CORKY’ MONTGOMERY

Corabelle “Corky” Montgomery, 89, of Bloomfield, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was born April 24, 1923, in Allegan County, Mich. She was retired from Delta Airlines, and was a former member of the Eastern Star, and member of Old Kentucky Homemakers Club, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and active in the women’s relief society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clinton Montgomery II; one granddaughter, Megan LaFern Snider; and two brothers, Olin Leon Swikert and Duane Clark Swikert.

She is survived by one daughter, Robbyn LaFern Snider; one sister, Cleo Maxine Kowski of Nampa, Idaho; one brother, Vernon Dale Swikert both of Nampa, Idaho; one son-in-law, James Larry Snider of Bloomfield; two grandson, James Larry Snider II and Clinton Lane Snider, both of Bloomfield; and one granddaughter, Jessica Lorene Snider of Bloomfield.

Cremation was chosen with a memorial service at a later date at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
