Biker’s Harley-Davidson disappears while he’s gone to get gas

Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2012, 6:30  p.m. — A biker in need of gas Wednesday afternoon on Bellwood Road was surprised when he returned with gas that his motorcycle was gone.

Nelson County Dispatch put out alert for police to watch for the missing motorcycle, described as a black Harley-Davidson 1200cc Sportser with red pinstripes on the tank and lots of chrome. The bike was taken from an area about a mile off Bellwood Road from the US 62 end at about 2:30 Wednesday afternoon while the owner was gone to get gas.
