DOROTHY ANN BICKETT

Dorothy Ann Bickett, 82, of Loretto, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Loretto Motherhouse Infirmary. She was born Sept. 9, 1930, in New Hope. She was a former employee of Marker’s Mark Distillery and member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Eugene “Nick” Bickett; her parents, Joseph Raymond and Catherine Nell Saltsman Cecil; and two sisters, Louise Riggs and Margaret Cambron.

Survivors include five daughters, Judy Masterson and her husband John, both of New Hope, Brenda Peake and her husband Larry, and Linda Thompson and her husband Mike, all of Bardstown, and Nell Bickett and Becky Aimesbury, both of Cox’s Creek, Irene Downs and her husband Curtis, both of Loretto; five sons, Gene Bickett and his wife Beverly, both of Campbellsville, Bill Bickett and his wife Karen, Michael Bickett and his wife Rosie, and David Bickett, all of Bardstown, and Kevin Bickett and his wife Dora, both of Loretto;  25 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. R. Joseph Hemmerle will be the celebrant.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. conducted by Deacon Eddie Hutchins.

Memorial Donations may go to the Alzheimer’s Association, Kaden Tower, 6100 Dutchman’s Lane, Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205-3284.

Her sons will serve as pallbearers.
