Dorothy Faye Osborne, 85, Bardstown
Dorothy Faye Osborne, 85, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was born June 13, 1927, in Washington County. She was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Parish and was previously employed as director of Colonial House Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Spencer Osborne; her parents, Ray and Lucille Corbett Osborne; one brother, John Osborne; one sister, Imogene Cambron; one granddaughter, Amy Beth Snellen; and one great-grandson, Jude Patrick Luckett.
She is survived by eight daughters, Patsy Crowe, Jane Snellen, Barbara Osborne, Trese Osborne, Sally Dugan, Sue Osborne and Sher Downs, all of Bardstown, and Lucy Brown of Elizabethtown; three sons, Joe Osborne, III and Bill Osborne, both of Bardstown, and John Osborne of Athens, Ga.; two sisters, Mary Lou Stine of Lebanon and Trese Ann Bland of Louisville; 29 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at the Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral with burial in the Holy Trinity Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Hammer will be the celebrant.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, and 8:30-11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church.
