Barbara Lucille Ayers Lamkin, 96, St. Mary’s
Barbara Lucille Ayers Lamkin, 96, of St. Mary’s, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at the Village of Lebanon Nursing Home. She was born July 26, 1916, in New Hope and was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Nolan Lamkin, Sr.; four sons, John “Kevin” Lamkin, Joseph Stephen Lamkin, Charles Nolan “Sonny” Lamkin, Jr. and Thomas Ayers Lamkin; her parents, Joseph Dominic and Mary Sudie Hagan Ayers; one sister, Bertha Ayers; four brothers, William Bernard “GooGoo” Ayers, Joseph Fred “Shorty” Ayers, Raphael Ayers and Fabian Ayers.
Survivors include six daughters, Priscilla Logsdon of Harrodsburg, Mary Wright and her husband John, both of Danville, Wanda Dye and her husband Bobby, both of of Lebanon, Susie Wheatley and her husband Tom, both of Bardstown, Martha Ann Reynolds and her husband Robert, both of Mesa, Ariz., and Michelle Dunivan and her husband Tommy, both of Petersburg, Tenn.; two sons, Bernie Lamkin of St. Mary’s and Tim Lamkin of Bardstown; one sister, Dorothy Kotheimer and her husband Carl, both of Venice, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Mary’s, with burial in the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in St. Francis. The Rev. James W. Graf will be the celebrant.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. with Deacon Joseph R. Dant.

Pallbearers are Chuckie Dye, Ronnie Lamkin, Luke Wright, Brad Dunivan, Toby Dunivan and Robert Reynolds.
