Minor flooding expected along Rolling Fork in Hardin, Nelson counties

Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, 1:28 a.m. — The flood warning for the Rolling Fork River near Boston remains in effect. Minor flooding will impact largely agricultural land in Hardin and Nelson Counties near the Boston community.

According to an update last night about 10:20 p.m., the National Weather Service expected the Rolling Fork to reach flood stage of 35 feet last night after midnight and rise to a crest of about 36.7 feet by later this evening. The river is expected to drop below flood stage by late Wednesday morning.
