Police locate woman threatening suicide in Bardstown park

Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, 1:45 a.m. — A 19-year-old woman was located by police at a Bardstown park after telling dispatchers she had a rope in a tree and was going to hang herself about 12:30 Monday afternoon.

The woman could not tell dispatchers the name of the park she was in, but from the description she provided of the park Bardstown Police officers quickly determined she was in the Bardstown community Park. Officers located the woman in the park and Nelson County EMS was called. The woman was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment.
