Melvin Gerald ‘Jerry’ Reynolds, Sr., 70, Saint Joe
Melvin Gerald “Jerry” Reynolds, Sr., 70, of Saint Joe, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at his residence. He was born Feb. 25, 1942, in Saint Joe. He worked 45 years at Heaven Hill Distilleries in Bardstown and was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Marvin and Flora Brockman Reynolds; two sisters, Juanita Thomas and Martha Jean Darnell; and one brother, Eugene Reynolds.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Mary Ann Ball Reynolds; five daughters, Trish Wathen and her husband Troy, both of Saint Joe, Carrie Hernandez of Campbellsville, Tina Cruse and her husband Dale, both of Magnolia, Shannon Bailey and her husband Chris, both of Pekin, Ind., and Cathy Jo Grubbs and her husband Linn, both of Hodgenville; one son, Melvin Reynolds, Jr., of Saint Joe; two sisters, Devorel Cambron and her husband Tony, both of Louisville, and Anna Reynolds of Bardstown; two brothers, Charles Reynolds and his wife Frances, both of Bardstown and Marvin Reynolds and is wife Judy, both of Lebanon; and 11 grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Raywick with burial in the Saint Joe Cemetery. The Rev. James W. Graf will be the celebrant.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with a prayer service at 6 p.m. by Deacon Joseph R. Dant.
