Bardstown man dies in rollover crash on Boston Road at Hugh Ice Loop

Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, 2:15 (UPDATED Jan. 22, 2013)— A 21-year-old Bardstown man died Monday in a single-vehicle rollover crash Monday afternoon on Boston Road at Hugh Ice Loop. Michael ‘Mikey’ Bret Young, 21, apparently died at the scene of the accident. The Bardstown Fire Department, Nelson County EMS and police were requested to respond to Boston Road just after 2 p.m. for a reported crash with possible entrapment. The first officer at the scene confirmed the victim was trapped. By the time firefighters arrived, an EMS squad had determined the victim died and requested the Nelson County Coroner come to the scene.

Traffic was routed around the crash site via Hugh Ice Loop while the officers completed their investigation.
