MARY REGINA CUNDIFF
Mary Regina Cundiff, 88, of Bardstown, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Life Care Center in Bardstown. She was a former employee of Owens-Illinois, a member of St. Gregory Church and the American Legion.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Bernard Downs; her second husband, Newman Cundiff; one son, Virgil Downs; two daughters, Geraldine Ballard and Josephine Ice; one granddaughter, Sissy Keeling; her parents, Charles Thomas and Mary Vergie Cissell O’Daniel; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Junior Downs of Hodgensville and Larry Downs of Danville;
five daughters, Bonnie Riley of Cox’s Creek, Julie Cecil, Brenda McIntire, Lisa Berry and Janice Reuss, all of Bardstown; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.
The Mass of Christian burial is 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at St. Gregory Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Paul Eve will be the celebrant.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, and after 8:30 a.m. Thursday at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home. A prayer service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday with Deacon Joe Lyvers.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Nelson County.
Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
