Bardstown council approves review board applications, OK’s appointments

Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013 — The Bardstown City Council held a short regular session at its regular meeting Tuesday before entering into an executive session to discuss litigation.
DEVELOPMENT REVIEW. The council gave its unanimous approval of a Development Review Board recommendation to approve a proposed 5,400 sq. ft. storage building by BDM Collision, 1489 Filiatreau Lane. The council approval included the five conditions the Development Review Board cited in its approval.
HISTORICAL REVIEW BOARD. The council gave its unanimous approval of six certificates of appropriateness:
1. 105 N. First St. Beth and Darrell Hawkins plan to build a one-story, two-car garage and small addition and a new driveway across their front yard.
2. 405 Bloomfield Road. Franklin Family Auto Sales applied for new signs at the dealership formerly operated by Alex Montgomery.
3. 201 E. Flaget Ave. Attorney William T. Hutchins applied for two 32″x 36″ pole-mounted signs — one at the corner of North Second and East Flaget, and the other at the rear of the building.
4. 202 E. Stephen Foster Ave. County Attorney Matthew Hite has applied for new signage to replace the Kelley & Hite signage.
5. 202 N. Third St. Pink Boutique has applied for installation of a hanging sign on the east side of the former Lamplighter.
6. 206. W. Flaget Ave. Approval of renovations of the modern wing of this home, which will include a new room, remove vinyl siding and repair or replace original siding and replace windows and doors.
In other business, the council approved the following appointments:
- Beth Hawkins, 3-year-term on the Historical Review Board;
- Bruce Reynolds, 3-year-term on the Historical Review Board;
- Dixie Hibbs, 3-year-term on the Tree Board;
- Jesse Wheat, 4-year-term on the Bardstown Board of Adjustments.
The next regular meeting of the Bardstown City Council is Feb. 12, 2013 in the Council Chambers at the City Hall Annex.
