RANDOLPH DAVIS “RANDY” MADDOX

Randolph Davis “Randy” Maddox, 56, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at his residence. He was born March 10, 1956, in Lebanon. He was a 1975 graduate of Nelson County High School and was employed as a truck driver for Jack Cooper Transportation. He was a former employee of Barton Brands Distillery and Sysco Foods. He was a US Army veteran who served for three years. He was a retiree of the US Army Reserve, a member of the American Legion Post 167 and the Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the Wesley Chaplin United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Denise Maddox; his father, John Owen Maddox; and one brother, Rodney Marnell Maddox.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Dedra Maddox; five daughters, Nicole Maddox and Ashley Williams, both of Bardstown, Ashley Maddox and Anissa Douglas, both of Louisville, and Quinn Logan of Lexington; three sons, David Crowe and Tyrone Montgomery, both of Bardstown, and Keith Williams of Louisville; his mother, Mary Lee Hickman Maddox of Bloomfield; two sisters, Julia Maxwell of Louisville and Anita Scott of Lexington; four brothers, Owen Lee Maddox of Fla., Gary Maddox of Bardstown, Glenn Maddox of Bloomfield, and John Maddox of Louisville; 19 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at the First Baptist Church with burial in the Bloomfield Cemetery. The Rev. Robert Marshall will officiate. Full military honors will be provided by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home. An American Legion service is 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
