One injured, home destroyed after Nelsonville Lane structure fire

Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, 9:30 p.m. — A Sunday evening structure fire destroyed a Nelsonville Lane home and sent an individual who was burned to a Louisville hospital.

The Rolling Fork Fire Department and Nelson County EMS responded to the fire at about 8:13 Sunday night at 220 Nelsonville Lane in the Boston area. Firefighters arrived to find the home engulfed in flames and collapsing on itself. An individual who apparently lived in the home suffered burns and was transported to University Hospital in Louisville for treatment. The American Red Cross was called to assist the residents with immediate housing needs.
