Clara Mae Brown, 88

Clara Mae Brown, 88, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was a native of Washington County, a retired cafeteria manager for Bloomfield Mid dle School for 33 years, and a member of Little Union Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Brown Sr.; her parents, Edward and Bertha Terrell Hahn; and one brother, Lester Hahn.

She is survived by two daughters, Wanda Hill and her husband Bennie, both of Mount Washington, and Kathy Brown of Bardstown; two sons, Phillip Brown and his wife, Betty, both of Bardstown, and Clyde Brown Jr. and his wife, Barbara, both of Bloomfield; one sister, Margie Hahn of Bardstown; one brother, Chester Hahn of Bloomfield; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Leland Parks officiating. Burial is in Highland Memory Gardens cemetery in Mount Washington.

Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, and 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at the funeral home.
