Firefighters called to Old Nazareth Road for smoke investigation

fireshieldSaturday, Feb. 2, 2013, 11:15 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called Friday evening about 7 p.m. to a residence at 3013 Old Nazareth Road for light smoke in the home and the smell of something burning. Residents had evacuated the home when first-responders arrived. Firefighters investigated to determine the source of the smoke and traced it to a fan in a heat pump. Units were on scene for about 45 minutes.
