Man flown to trauma center late Sunday after shotgun wound to face
Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, 12:15 p.m. — A man in his 30s was flown to Louisville for treatment after he suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the face Sunday night. Nelson County EMS and police responded to the 400 block of Camptown Road after several 911 calls reported the shooting. First-responders found the victim conscious and breathing in a back bedroom after suffering what was described as a shotgun wound to the bottom of his face. The victim was transported by EMS to Jewish Hospital Medical Center South in Bullitt County where he was transferred to a medical helicopter who flew him to the trauma center at University Hospital in Louisville.
