Firefighters investigate burning odor at Beechwood Ave. home
Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, 1 a.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department was called out about 10:45 p.m. to the 700 block of Beechwood Avenue for an odor investigation. A resident there reported the smell of something burning in the home. Firefighters used thermal imaging cameras in the home and determined the electrical service was the source of the burning smell. Electrical service was cut to the home until repairs can be made. The American Red Cross responded to help the residents with immediate shelter needs. Firefighters were on scene for about 40 minutes.
