Judeann Schaffner, 72, Bardstown

Judeann Schaffner, 72, of Bardstown, died Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. She was born Oct. 22, 1940, in Mare Island, Calif.. She was a homemaker, a U.S. Navy Veteran, and member of St. Gregory Catholic Church where she was a school and church aide.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Urban and Rubie Schaffner Sr.; two brothers, Urban E. Schaffner Jr. and Troy E. Schaffner; and one sister, Rubie E. Fischer.

She is survived by two sons, Michael S. Pflanz of Bardstown and Andrew R. Johnson of Louisville; three in-laws, Jeannine S. Hite, Charleen Schaffner, and George Fischer; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at St. Gregory Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Paul Eve will officiate.

Visitation is 3–8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, and 9–10:15 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at Barlow Funeral Home. A prayer service will be Wednesday evening.

Memorial contributions may go toward the service of Judeann Schaffner.
