Bardstown man arrested Sunday morning after firing handgun in the air

Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, 11 a.m. — A Bardstown man was arrested Sunday morning for randomly firing a .22 caliber revolver in the air outside room 112 at My Old Kentucky Home Motel, 414 W. Stephen Foster.
Clayton P. Lanham, 20, was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment after police were called to the hotel at 2:38 a.m. Sunday for a report of gunshots being fired in the area.
Officers spoke with a hotel manager and determined the room the individual responsible for the gunshots was staying. Police located Lanham in the room and found a .22 revolver, four spent shell casings and one unspent round. There were no reports of injury or damage. A police press release stated that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the incident. Lanham was arrested and lodged in the Nelson County Jail.
