MICHAEL LEONARD “MIKE” DOUGLAS
Michael Leonard “Mike” Douglas, 57, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital. He was born on May 9, 1955, in Nelson County. He was a former employee of Intertec Systems, a member of St. Monica Catholic Church, but was attending Boston Community Church. He was a member of On The Edge Band and played guitar for various gospel groups.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Jones and Mary Frances Jones Douglas and a brother Thomas Edward Douglas.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Pope Douglas; two daughters, LaToya (Chianti) Woodlee of Maryville, Tenn., and BriAnna Douglas of Bardstown; five sisters, Geraldine (LeRoy) Jones of Kileen, Texas, Carolyn Ardis of Detroit, Mich., Ann R. (Ernest) Williams of Bardstown and Janice L. Harkness, both of Bardstown, and Dianna (James) Mooring of Radcliff; and three grandchildren.
The funeral is 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Bardstown First Baptist Church with Brother Rick Martin officiating. Burial is in the Bardstown Cemetery.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home, an d 10a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at the church.
