Police investigate man expressing suicidal thoughts in online chats

Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, 1 p.m. — Nelson County sheriff’s deputies investigated a report of an individual who was depressed and considering suicide. Police were called about 1:15 Wednesday morning after an individual in Greenville requested a welfare check on the individual after chatting with him on the Internet. Police were dispatched to a home in the 600 block of Greer Lane to investigate. Police talked to the subject and determined the call was unfounded.
