Firefighters called to Harding Street apartment for audible fire alarm

Sunday, March 4, 2013, 4 p.m. — The Bardstown Fire Department responded to a report of an active fire alarm in an apartment in the 900 block of Harding Street at about 11:40 Saturday night. A neighbor reported hearing an audible alarm and smelling a burning smell. Firefighters arrived to find burnt food on the stove in the apartment. Fire crews removed the burnt food and used their ventilation equipment to remove smoke from the apartment. They were on scene for about 25 minutes.
