Police searching for man who robbed Speedy Mart at gunpoint

Monday, March 4, 2012, 12:11 p.m. — Bardstown Police are searching for a man who robbed the Speedy Mart on Bloomfield Road at gunpoint this morning about 5:30.

The robber was wearing a green jacket with a black hoodie, blue jeans, black gloves and something to cover his face. He was armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.

The man entered the store and demanded cash from the register and safe from the clerk. The robber told the clerk to go into the bathroom, and the robber apparently fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

Bardstown Police are investigating the robbery, and ask those with information to contact them at (502) 348-6811.
