Wilbert Eugene “W.E.” Martin, 93, Bloomfield

Wilbert Eugene “W.E.” Martin, 93, of Bloomfield, died Friday, March 15, 2013, at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown. He was a native of Spencer County, a member of Briar Ridge Christian Church and a farmer.

He was the son of the late Virgil and Lula Gunter Martin and was preceded in death by his wife Sarah Martin.

Survivors include one son, Larry Martin and his wife Partha, both of Campbellsville; one stepdaughter, Lunette Tate and her husband Burman, both of Bardstown; two stepsons Herman Stevens of Shepherdsville, and David Stevens and his wife Donna, both of Bloomfield; two brothers, Buford Martin of Bardstown and Emmett Martin of Mount Washington; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Bro. Darrell Goodlett officiating. Burial is in Maple Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Visitation is 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the funeral home.

Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
