Hydrant flushing triggers fire alarm at Nelson County Justice Center
Monday, March 25, 2013, 1:25 p.m. — City utility crews flushing water hydrants in the area near the Nelson County Justice Center triggered the center’s fire alarms system about 1:10 p.m. Monday afternoon. The Bardstown Fire Department responded to a fire alarm called in by the center’s alarm company. Firefighters arrived and verified the activation was due to the hydrant flushing operations, there was no fire. Firefighters were on scene for less than 10 minutes.
