Glen Thomas Richardson, 56, Bardstown

Glen Thomas Richardson, 56, of Bardstown, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

He was a native of Bardstown, a graduate of Saint Catharine’s College, and an employee of Barton’s 1972 Distillery for 34 years where he was the traffic and shipping manager. He was a former employee of Lionstone and Kraft Foods and a sergeant of the U.S. Army Reserve. He was former president of the Bardstown Nelson County Youth football program where he also served as a coach. He was an avid fan of UK football and basketball. He loved golf and was a member of the Monday night Boone’s Butcher Shop league. He loved traveling and was a of Christian faith.

He was the son of the late, Tom and Isabelle Price Richardson.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father- in-law, Mona and Hamilton (Daygo) Hutchins; two sisters, Wanda Woodrome and Donna Richardson; and one brother, William Casey.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Lana Hutchins Richardson; one son, Nathan Richardson of Bardstown; three sisters, Betty Swope of Mount Washington, Dorothy Finley of Louisville and Irene Pinkston of Lebanon; and two brothers, Mike Richardson of Chaplin and Kenny Casey of Waddy.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home with cremation to follow.

Visitation is 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013, at Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

Clark and Houghlin Funeral Home and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
