NCHS student taken to Flaget after possible allergic reaction to food

Monday, March 20, 2011, 10:26 a.m. — A 17-year-old female student at Nelson County High School was taken to Flaget Memorial Hospital after she began experiencing an allergic reaction and shortness of breath to something she ate. She was received a dose epinephrine via an autoinjector pen by the school nurse and transported by Nelson County EMS. The call for EMS came about 10:05 Monay morning.
