Nancy Mae Metcalf, 72, Louisville, formerly of Nelson County

Nancy Mae Metcalf, 72, of Louisville, died Friday, April 5, 2013, at Baptist Health Hospital in Louisville. She was born July 24, 1940, in Nelson County. She formerly worked as an Auditor for Raytheon Manufacturing in Arizona.

She was preceded in death by one son, Scotty Higdon; her parents, John S. Metcalf, Sr. and Anna Mae Riggs Metcalf; and one brother, Leo Metcalf.

Survivors include three sisters, Ruby Marshall and her husband George, both of Bardstown, Sharon Newton and her husband Jimmy, and Carolyn Willett and her husband John, all of New Haven;

eight brothers, Teddy Metcalf and his wife Verna, Glen Metcalf and his wife Tammy, and John Metcalf, Jr., all of Holy Cross, Philip Metcalf and his wife Ann, both of New Hope, Maurice Metcalf and his wife Nancy, and Stephen Metcalf, all of Bardstown, Walt Metcalf and his wife Cathy, both of Lawrenceburg, and Donnie Metcalf and his wife Juanita, both of Culvertown; a special friend, J.D. Smith of Louisville; many nieces and nephews.

The funeral is Monday, April 8, 2013, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto, with burial in the Holy Cross Cemetery. The Rev. Ben Brown will officiate.

The Mattingly Funeral Home in Holy Cross is in charge of arrangements.
