New website will connect area volunteers with local service opportunities
STAFF REPORT
Friday, April 12, 2013 — The United Way of Nelson County is sponsoring a new website that will help match individuals who wish to volunteer with a charitable organization with whom they can help.
Local organizations who need volunteers for various projects often aren’t sure where to turn for help. Starting this week, anyone can go online to www.4u2help.net and sign up for one of the volunteer opportunities listed, or organizations can sign up to list their needs. There is no obligation to sign up and participate and no one will call you.
More than 16 organizations and groups have signed up with 4u2help.net. The goal is to get all local charities and civic groups signed up in order for the site to offer local volunteers a one-stop clearinghouse of Nelson County needs and opportunities for others to help.
For more information about the site, contact the United Way of Nelson County office at 348-1891.
