Orville Dennis, 86, of Bloomfield

Orville Dennis, 86, of Bloomfield, died Sunday, April 14, 2013, at his home. He was a retired employee of General Electric and Jim Beam Brands. He was a farmer and a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Fairfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Sally Pulliam Dennis; and his wife, Minnie Dennis.

He is survived by one daughter, Brenda Prather of Chaplin; three sons, Larry Dennis and his wife Vanda, and Ronnie Dennis, all of Bloomfield and Donnie Dennis of Bardstown; one brother, Ralph Dennis and his wife Peggy, both of Louisville; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at the Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield with burial in St. Michael’s Catholic Church cemetery in Fairfield.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at the funeral home.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Hospice of Nelson County.

Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
