Mary Jo Westling, 76, Bardstown

Mary Jo Westling, 76, of Bardstown, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. She was the former Mary Jo Ellis and was a native of Nelson County. She was a homemaker and member of the Little Union Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late John Ramond “Bill” and Odell Mattingly Ellis. She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Ann Humphrey; and one brother, Ronnie Newton.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Thompson of Loretto, and Angela Rizo-Fuentes and her husband Alberto, both of Bardstown; three sons, Ricky Westling and his wife Karla, both of Montgomery, Texas, Dennis Westling and his wife Janice, both of Bardstown, and Gary Westling of Louisville; one sister, Billie Joyce Ellis of Cox’s Creek; five grandchildren, Brian Hunt, Kayla Thompson Riley, A.J. Thompson, Tiffiny Kidwell and Chris Kidwell; and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral is 11 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the Little Union Baptist Church in Fairfield with burial in the church cemetery. Bro. Will Sipes will officiate.

Visitation was Friday at the Houghlin Funeral home and 9-11 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, at the church.

The Houghlin Funeral Home in Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.
