Robert Kenneth ‘Julio’ Johnson, 49, Bardstown

Robert Kenneth “Julio” Johnson, 49, of Bardstown, died Saturday, April 20, 2013, at his home.

He was born in Nelson County and spent his childhood living in New Smyrna Beach, Fla.

He moved back to the New Haven area in 1985. He was a Catholic by faith. He was preceded in death by his Father, Nicholas Gerald “Nicky”” Johnson.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Anna Johnson and Kenny Vandegrift; one sister, Tammy Bradley and her wife Tim, both of Bardstown;
two brothers, Nick Johnson of Bardstown and Joshua Johnson of Louisville; one niece; one nephew; one great-niece; one great-nephew; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The funeral Mass is 11 a.m. April 24, 2013, at St. Catharine Catholic Church with the Rev. Troy Overton officiating.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2013, and 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at the Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home in New Haven with a prayer service 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The family requests memorial contributions go to Hospice of Nelson County or Flaget Memorial Hospital.

Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
