Constance Marie “Connie” Cissell, 57 of Bardstown, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at her home.

CONSTANCE MARIE “CONNIE” CISSELL

She was born Sept. 25, 1955, in Nelson County. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in New Hope.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie T. and Louise Cecil Riggs.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Gary Jude Cissell; four daughters, Kerri Bowling and her husband Dennis, both of Howardstown, Jill Griffith and her husband Ray, both of Bardstown, Molly Keesy and her husband Rob, both of New Haven and Amy Cissell (Brandon Robinson), both of Lexington; one son, Travis Cissell and his wife Gayle, both of Balltown; eight sisters, Bettye Lou Masterson and her husbnad Boot, Shirley Hutchins and her husband Eddie, Pat Bartley and her husband Doc, Ginger Ayers and her husband Don, and Sara Riggs, all of New Hope, Lois O’Bryan and her husband Jerry, both of New Haven, Marinel Clark and her husband Junie, both of Cox’s Creek and Sr. Margaret Rae Riggs, SCN of Nazareth; three brothers, Jim Riggs and his wife Edith, both of Louisville, Jackie Riggs and his wife Mary Ann, both of Bardstown and Dickie Riggs of Cox’s Creek; six grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 104 Church St., New Hope, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Ken Fortener will be the celebrant.

Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013, and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2013, at Mattingly Funeral Home, 195 Holy Cross Road, Loretto with a prayer service at 6 p.m. Friday by Deacon Eddie Hutchins.

Mattingly Funeral Home in Loretto is in charge of arrangements.
